Oh man, I am dancing so hard to this Bad Future beta. I think you're onto something here, most definitely! Distorted versions of our leads could also really add to it, too! The more discordant, the better, eh? I love this bassline ;~; Coolness! I want there to still be this jazzy Stardust Speedway piano thing going on with my crazy lead, but yes distorted leads and creepy chord progressions are also planned. That bassline is FM Drive in action. Genesis had a 4 OP synthesizer which has the best sounds for basslines in my opinion. It's really sooo dynamic! Gives out this old skool action game sound. I plan on adding more to that a bit, with some cool pitch bending stuff if all goes well. Sent from my Prism II using Tapatalk I think this would make me want to purposefully get a bad future in that zone, just to hear the song .XD This is going places of AWESOME!!! I agree wholeheartedly on the Genesis bass instruments being the best, too. There were SO many things that could be done with it!!! I still use them a lot, even in my full CD audio quality stuff I make for my personal project.

I played Sonic CD a couple of times through before I realized that time traveling was more than just a novelty. :-P They gotta have some flash to those tunes, unless you're Spencer Nilson. Then you can scare the snot out of kids with your creepy Wacky Work bench music. I was afraid of the dark, and WWZ bad future made it worse from the US track. We should make one of our bad futures like that. I'll listen to it with my night light on to help keep the monsters away. =-O No, my computer keeps crashing my 60's style song, and won't even let me play it When I get it figured out, I'll send ya the link. Been gettin home so late. We are in a busy season at my warehouse. Pretty much it will be weekends when I'll be able to work on some bad future goodness... isn't that a bit contradictory of a statement? I got some lyrics for the rapping robot voice in my head, now, that may be pretty cool. Also, did you know that Tiido got injured pretty bad? He's alive and well but still recovering, as far as I know. I was thinking maybe you, me, and Tails could spice up one of his songs. It really brightens Tiido's spirits when people improvise to his music. This is like a get well/welcome back kind of thing, just to show our love and support. If it's something you want to do, I can post the link to the song I had in mind. Sent from my Prism II using Tapatalk<br/> Sent from my Prism II using Tapatalk

Aha! I got my DAW issue sorted out. Right when you open up the collab folder, you'll see it. The song's called "Things Above". Still a work in progress, but it's going to be a mix of chip sounds with this 60's flower child rock. It is going to be a Christian song of encouragement when I get and song lyrics to it. I want it to be uplifting and appreciated by many people, though. I call the genre "flower chip". :-P

That could be absolutely awesome. For a song as serious as DDZ, it could -really- work, you know? Also, I hope your computer starts working better and lets you play that song now. ;~; No worries about how little time you have and such. I completely understand. Remember -- we've got no release date here, and this is just a fun collab between friends! Whoa, he got hurt??? I didn't even hear about that! Yes, we should definitely do something for him! Which tune of his were you thinking? We could all collab together, and it could be amazing!

Oh yeah, that's right. xD Sometimes* my memory is bad. What's the BPM on Things Above? *All the time. Things Above is clocked at 90 BPM, and set to 6 for the Ticks per Beat... I don't know if Mixcraft has that kind of setting, though, but it is in an 8/6 rhythym which is not my typical style, but sounds pretty cool. What did you think of the song for Tiido I chose? Will that work?

Or should we stick with that theme?

Or should we stick with that theme? Cool! Perfectly fine to deviate from chip tuniness. He will love it, I'm sure. You know, I'll open up a new thread for this. It'll be out side the Sonic CD 2 forum directory. It'll be later since I have to get to the computer first. I'll see if Tails wants to add something as well. Not sure what the BPM is on that puppy, so that'll be the hard part. Genesis music goes in between BPM because the sound processor has to take turns with the CPU and TV refresh rate. We can approximate and get close, and I could try to time stretch it using my audio scrubbing tools. I am able to maintain the same pitch while slowing or speeding up a recording. I did it with Ocean Melody, so it is possible. Sent from my Prism II using Tapatalk

Or should we stick with that theme? OK, here's the status so far: PAST - Tail and I are tweaking the module, and will be adding more to it in the future. Present - I'm still hashing out the sax solo bit by bit. Some cool muted trumpet and maybe some ocarina action should be in store. Good Future - Lost the module file (D'oh!) But I still have a good wav file recording, original VSTi's, and the original preset for the bassline, so all is not lost. I'm sure I can find a way to bridge our 2 parts, Leila, although it may take a bit of time. Tails, you are welcome to add to this if you see fit. Bad Future - Still have the module file (yessss!) This will be a lot of fun. Hoping to find some obnoxious Eggman laughter, classic TV voice samples, and rapping robot tracking. Look out for pipe organ and muted trumpet stuffs as well, maybe. Oh yea, what about that song for Tiido? Still up for doing that sometime. I know he's alive and well now, but still, hehe. Oh well, that's all for teh moment.

Alright Tails, I need your feedback and maybe some hands on help. Could you: 1. Tell me what you think of this sax solo for the present: docs.google.com/file/d/0B2C16041iMhgRjMtVjNSNWFBb1k/edit?usp=docslist_api2. Maybe track out something in Open MPT that you think would sound better. I don't like the 2nd to the last measure very much, but I trust your ears better than mine. If you do that, then, I can transcribe the improved lead into my DAW, and go from there. Woofle, you're welcome to give any feedback as well. I will work on the second part after this is polished up. Thanks again guys!
