Oh, this'll be a fund one. We need a little ice for this project. Frotbite Funkfalls is partially based on "Frostbite Falls" where Rocky and Bullwinkle lived (if you ever watched the cartoon. The past will be icy and glittery. Here is the Past tune that I propose: drive.google.com/open?id=0B2C16041iMhgSHlFLUlZNkY3WWs&authuser=0Here is the Present arrangement I though might work: drive.google.com/open?id=0B2C16041iMhgUXZ0NEdBU1lSTEE&authuser=0This one is just goofy like loony tunes! The present will be more like rocky mountains kind of setting with a little ice and vegetation here and there. Watch out for boulder tumbling down the slopes! All musical sketches, not close to being complete. A little inspiration for the Good Future might be:

The beat in the present song is soooo thick! May I add some things to the present timezone? What's the BPM of it?

The beat in the present song is soooo thick! May I add some things to the present timezone? What's the BPM of it? Hmmm, yes, and double yes. The tempo is a level 125BPM. Of course if you want to play around with the actual module file, it is made under Caustic 3 for PC, Android, and iOS. It's really easy to learn, and has excellent tutorial videos online. That way, if you want to extend the song using my technique, it is available. All samples, and VSTi, are in the software and module file. I think I'll be using this as one of my primary tools, because, I'm on the go a lot, and is just such a breeze! But if you need me to alter it to make it easier for ya, I can do that too. Yeah, the beat starts out with a Roland 606 drum kit with that old Skool charm. It's like the grandfather of the 808. Then I made some custom drum loop in the second half. I do have ideas for the next melodic movements, but, again, not alot of time. I have not yet mastered 4D space. Barely even 3D For that matter. But I'm interested in hearing your take.

This present tune is what became of Pastel Pastures, by the way. There can still be some pastel colors, though.

Yikes. Still getting back into the swing of things. XD I mis-uploaded at first, but there's 2 little snippets of the ideas I had to add to the Present mix. I thought I put them in the right folder, but I think I didn't. >_o;;; Apologies for that, but hey, I'm getting back to work! One is just my tracks, and the other is my tracks and yours combined, Marc

The grungy blues guitar and you filling in the blank for the missing half of the melody at the end are good. And I can't decide of I like my bassline or yours better. Probably your bassline is more appropriate. What I want to do is separately record my melody so you can mix it in better. Really like where this is going so far. The next 2 movements are stuck in my head for now. T'seeya

Would that be worth a try, you think? I think it could sound pretty neat! I can't wait to go further with this one. It's the most unique out of all the songs.

Well, what I think I'll do is make separate recordings of the track layers so you can have a clearer mix, and you'll be able to pick and choose what parts of my song to keep and alter. I hope to get around to that today.
Also, don't know if you remember me asking, but are you cool with Sean Evans joining our team? Tails says yes, but I want to make sure you're OK with it before inviting him in.
He's really good at the Sonic CD stuff he's been making. We could even overlap each other's projects if he's open to that. Could be an interesting experiment.
Oh well, more cool stuff later. Take care!

Alrighty Woofle, I uploaded the individual tracks into the Frostbite Funkfalls folder. They each start with FFZ as the filename accompanied by the track name such as FFZ LEAD, or FFZ BASSLINE. Hopefully this helps you with the mixing. I can take out effects filters if you need. Just let me know. Almost done with the Genesis conversion of the Sonic 3 alternate title screen. Just need to send it to Tails for a little help on the ending progression. The instruments are straight from the game and I even analyzed the audio processor debug live to make sure I got the PSG correct. Take care!

1,000 years late, but the next WIP of FFZ present is here! I made a snowier intro than what I had going because I didn't think the old one was quite right. There's more I want to do to it (and to other bits of the song) but I thought this was a good place to show off what I had for now. I had to put some 90s piano in there, because it's the best thing ever. Sort of. xD I played with your percussion loops a bit, making them play for more of the song, and I built a whole second section around the snowy intro I did. I'm hoping it sounds good! It's different from the rest of the song, but the instruments and rhythm are same. I still need to fix a bit of the percussion though... Anyway, yes! WIP! It's in the present folder!

Wow, 1,000 years?!? We better travel back to the present. The cosmic constant shows us that the present is located somewhere in the year 1995. Spacetime is mysteriously worked out like this. Now I heard your update, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the second segment you added to the song. It was liquid magic, and went down so smooth. My mind was bathed in feelings of wonder and fascination that I remember from childhood. It was quite delightful! And the whole song from start to finish was cohesive with much better balance for leads. Splitting those tracks seemed to do the trick. Yes, there will be some improvements to work out once I get back to working on this track again, but it sounds close to completion. Now, I still feel like we should have one other person on our team. Some people I have in mind are Sean Evans, Scooblee, Jredd, Toni Leys, Symphonic Games, or someone else on that caliber. Let me know who you'd like to have aboard, and I'll see if I can get them registered here. I know, tough choice, right? They're all so musically talented. Jredd was the one who helped spark my interest in Genesis music. (Have you heard his Vector Nova album? ) I know that Tails and I both like Sean Evans and his music. And I know you are a fan of Symphonic Games's songs. Now Scooblee seems to be our quiet little prodigy, who cranked out 2 tracks for your Sonic 3 Alternate OST project, within a day! He seems like he'd be the most enthused to work on this project. Anyway, I leave the final decision up to you. Keep kool now, ya ' hear?

Aha! My brain was right all along! It's been 1995 all along! I'm really glad I didn't mess up the feeling or anything like that with the new parts I added!! Yeah, the track splitting really helped me balance everything a lot better, I think. This song was sooooo fun to work on! I can split the tracks up for you, and upload them, so you can do the mixing and stuff, if you want, too! Let me know what you wanna do! Hmmm, d'you think any of them might be interested in collaborating? They're all really really talented people!!! It'd be really hard to choose. Maybe we could do one song with each though... What about that? Yeah!! All his work is fantastic!!!! Most definitely! I love Sean's stuff too!! If he's interested, that could be really cool! Maybe we could have one song per collaborator or something, too. I dunno, maybe even have one person handle all the 'pasts' or all the bad futures, or... heck. I don't know. xD Just throwing ideas around! It's too hot to keep cool! D: xD

Alrighty, the b0t is b@ck! Well, I've just invited Sean Evans to the board. I am waiting for his response now. We shall start with him and see how things work out, and then invite others gradually. Some people like Toni Leys could do an EDM remix of a couple of zones or something like that. Jredd and Groovemaster303 would be able to do some killer Genesis remixes, for example. Not to mention this whole message board system can be used for more than just the Sonic CD 2 project. But we'll take it one step at a time. Also, I've changed the forum name to: Woofle-Fox-b0t Obviously including you, me, and Tails in the title, since we are the 3 original members. Plus, it seemed a bit egotistical on my part to have the board named after me Now, in terms of splitting up your tracks for Frostbite Funkfalls, yes, that may be helpful. Some of the piano chords didn't resonate well with me. It was mostly fine, and I like 90's piano more than anyone. But 2 or 3 chords seemed a little dissonant with the rest of the song. So I want to experiment with to see if I can get a better matching sound. A MIDI file of just the piano playing would actually be a ton of help. Then I can tweak ONLY the chords in question, while leaving the rest of your playing intact! The only other issues are that I want to finish my own lead, along with more variety for the organ and brass chords. That'll be it, I think. I'm seriously considering getting MixCraft in the future. That should make it easier... hopefully. '^-^> Alrighty, hoping to be back in Lunar Light in a few short weeks!

I think I'm probably being too picky. Tails's ears are more sensitive to pitch than mine. So I trust him more. This means the only thing needed with this song is a little EQ touch up, and extending my own organ and brass parts... all which I could do. Yeah, Tails was really blown away with all the stuff you did especially, and I think everyone will like this track. Have a restful day!
